Ceramic La Jefa Bowl by La Chicharra

This is the bowl that brings people together. It invites you to gather around the table, share a good meal, and stay awhile. It’s ideal for big salads, sharing-style entreés, tamales, noodles, and more, but holds weight as a centerpiece of its own, perfect for fruit or flowers. Its name, La Jefa, means ‘the boss,’ but is also common slang in Mexico for mother/mom. This is a boss bowl that your table needs.

Review Highlights-

Great versatile bowl

I'm a very happy customer with my bowl. I've had my eyes on this one for a long time and finally bought it. The perfect salad bowl for a household that eats large amounts of salads. Also great for serving fried rice and other space-consuming foods in. And it's sturdy yet elegant.

Love at first sight!

When I opened the box, my heart melted, it really was love at first sight! My friend, Maria is from Oaxaca and she loved it too! I have been using it as my plate!

Gather 'Round

The best meals are served family-style, and that’s why we love La Jefa. Her hosting style is classic and unfussy – grab a plate and dig in. It’s about just making one great, big dish that everyone can serve themselves from and keep coming back for more. We love her for pasta, chili, roasted squash drizzled with Pura Macha, chilaquiles . . . it’s hard to stop there. But the epitome of comfy, cozy hosting is a giant bowl of tamales, with salsas on the side for everyone to dress according to their preferences.
