Masa Taquera
Masa Taquera, our specialized masa for tacos, is made in Mexico from just two ingredients — non-GMO corn and alkaline water. Masa Taquera boasts a traditional, nixtamal-forward flavor that calls to mind fresh tortillas from a tortillería.
Made from white corn, its high pH (i.e., high alkalinity) creates a golden yellow tortilla. The corn’s whole grain is present, giving the masa extra pliability without the addition of gums or binding agents. Masa Taquera creates pillowy tortillas that are forgiving, bend without cracking or crumbling, and hold up to even the drippiest and most delicious of taco fillings. Never genetically modified. Always gluten free.
