Comfort is a warm, tender flour tortilla, and ours are no exception. We’ve taken traditional Sonoran-style tortillas and swapped the lard with organic, extra virgin olive oil for soft, pliable tortillas with decadent flavor that take your tacos and quesadillas to the next level. Made with just four ingredients and no preservatives or additives, they’ll keep in the fridge or freezer and can be finished on the stove. When you heat them, you’ll experience the signature puff and fresh-baked flavor of homestyle tortillas. Find them in the refrigerated bakery section at Sprouts Farmers Market nationwide.

FAQ

Are these certified non-GMO and gluten-free?

Our Organic Flour Tortillas are certified organic and non-GMO, and are made with no preservatives or additives! Because they contain organic wheat flour, they are not gluten-free.

Why are you guys making flour tortillas?

Since 2014, our goal has been to share the experience of tasting Mexican food in its most natural form. Along the way, we fell in love with Sonora-style flour tortillas and wanted to bring our customers a tender, soft tortilla that was made with just a few high-quality ingredients, without preservatives, and that tasted as good as homemade. We know that households are divided between corn and flour — our own included — and we wanted to serve our customers and our families an option that was just as delicious, simple, and satisfying as the corn tortillas we’ve spent over a decade developing.

What is the best way to heat these tortillas?

If your tortillas are frozen, first defrost them (ideally overnight in the fridge) and then carefully peel them apart. Preheat a dry pan or comal to medium-high heat and warm each tortilla until fully opaque on the first side (about 45 seconds), then flip and cook to your preference, and until bubbles appear. If you like a toastier tortilla, flip it once more. Wrap the tortillas in a clean kitchen towel or tuck into a tortilla warmer until ready to serve.

When do they expire?

Once thawed, we recommend consuming our Organic Flour Tortillas within 16 days. If you choose to freeze them, they’re good for up to one year from the date of purchase.
