You may have come across our friend Zach Rodriguez (also known as @zrod94) on your Instagram feed, where he's known for cooking mouthwatering Mexican dishes using traditional methods (not to mention cracking open bottles of beer with the heel of his cowboy boot). Suffice to say we were excited to receive a copy of his new cookbook, My Mexican Favorites, a collection of recipes inspired by his journey getting in touch with his family heritage. This recipe in particular, a take on papas con chorizo, stood out because of the way it combined Zach's approach to traditional foods with a bit of the more-is-more approach to tacos beloved in his hometown of Austin, Texas. The addition of guacamole, refried beans, and melted cheese makes them a little extra in a good way.

Hi Debbie! This press is intended for corn tortillas but we’ve had success using it for flour as well! (Some people prefer to roll their flour tortillas by hand to help develop the gluten). Just remember not to heat your press — it could cause serious damage.
Can I use the press for flour tortillas ?
