Our favorite, award-winning Tortilla Press in beautiful Espuma, aka seafoam green, vetted by the experts at Epicurious, Saveur, Serious Eats, and America's Test Kitchen … with some minor imperfections. You might see light chipping or unevenness in the powder coating aka paint job or wobbly feet (but a kitchen towel will fix that!). Do they still press out an A+ tortilla? Heck yeah.

· These are handmade tortilla presses with subtle imperfections. Use caution when opening and closing the lid, minding its edges and corners, which can be sharp. Paint may wear in high-contact areas after extensive use. Tortilla presses should not be heated, and use over fire may cause damage to the powder coat paint. Handle with care.

What’s a second?
Seconds are the proverbial runts of the litter. They are items that, despite being new, contain one or multiple imperfections that render them unsellable at full price, from chips in paint or stone to a crushed outer box. Rather than dispose of them, we prefer to find these items great homes with just the right kind of owners, the ones who are willing to trade an imperfection for a steep discount. All seconds are final sale.
Do I get to see my exact item, imperfections and all, before purchasing?
Unfortunately, no. The products are boxed up in our warehouse, and it would be near impossible to unpackage and photograph them all. So, you’ll have to embrace a certain element of mystery! We’ve tried to illustrate some examples of what you might expect in the image galleries of each product page, and we hope you find that helpful.
What if I’m unhappy with what I receive?
Our team has reviewed seconds quality to ensure every product is functional as intended, with potential cosmetic concerns that don’t warrant full price. Quirky! Still not satisfied? Send us a note to info@masienda.com, and we'll do our best to make it right.
When will I receive my product?
Fulfillment may take up to 3 business days. Once in transit, most orders take 3-5 business days to arrive, depending on location, carrier, and weather conditions. Once your order ships, you will receive an automatically-generated email with your tracking number (don’t see it? check spam!)
Do I need to use plastic liners with my Tortilla Press?
Since well-hydrated masa can be moist and sticky, it should not be applied directly onto the press — you’ll need to use plastic liners. A good thin liner, like ours, will also make the process of removing the masa easier and faster. Your Tortilla Press comes with one set of Masienda’s custom liners — they’re the perfect size and peel away easily from masa. You can also use a thin grocery bag, or in a pinch, Ziplock bags work but have a higher tendency to stick to the masa.
How should I clean my Tortilla Press?
After use, wipe the press clean with a dry rag. If it requires a deeper cleaning, go in with a slightly damp rag, making sure to dry it completely afterwards. Paint may wear in high-contact areas after extended use. Do not submerge in water. Any excess moisture will create rust.
Is it normal for my Tortilla Press to wobble slightly?
Due to the hand made nature of the Tortilla Press, it's normal for the legs to be slightly uneven. All presses can have a little wobble — you can place a towel under it to help keep it from moving and from scratching any surfaces.
