Advantages of Working with Distributors:
The most efficient way for you to get regular deliveries of Masienda ingredients is through your preferred local distributor. This goes for all of our foodservice catalog items, from bulk (50+ lb) heirloom corn and masa harina to pre-cut chips and tostadas. Some advantages to consider:
-
Cost Savings | Tight on space and can't store half or full pallets? Through ordering efficiencies, your preferred local distributor can offer up to 20% discount on average compared to Masienda’s direct parcel delivery.
- Ordering & Delivery Efficiency | Streamlining is the name of the game. Place your order with one distributor and receive fewer inbound deliveries, fewer interruptions, fewer places to track your mission-critical orders.
- Speed | In a supply pinch? Your local distributor will have a fast, cost-effective solution when it comes to emergency ordering.
- Exclusive Selection | Believe it or not, distributors can fulfill more of Masienda’s catalog than Masienda can itself. For example, our frozen, ready-to-cook items like our bestselling pre-cut chips and tostadas are only available through third-party distributors with refrigerated/frozen capabilities.
Masienda.com
If working with a distributor is not right for your business, you can place a direct wholesale order online, for both parcel AND pallet shipments.
In the Wholesale section of Masienda.com, we carry wholesale (44-55 lb) quantities of our dry goods, fulfilled through parcel delivery (UPS and FedEx Ground) and pallet (freight) delivery. As a general rule, orders of 9 or fewer bags will ship via parcel, and orders of 10+ bags will ship via pallet (lift gate will be automatically included). No wholesale account set up is required.
Ordering online sends your order directly to our team for fulfillment on the next business day. You will receive an email with tracking details once your order has shipped. Please review your shipping address carefully, as we cannot guarantee that address changes will be updated before shipping.
Wholesale Hospitality Team
If distribution nor online ordering works for your business, our Wholesale Hospitality Team is able to process a manual order.
Please reach out our Wholesale Hospitality Team using orders@masienda.com. We will help provide support for your online order or process an order manually if necessary. Note: our team fulfills orders Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm PST (with the exception of holidays).

Masa Programs
Interested in building a full masa program? You can either make masa by nixtamalizing whole kernel or by using masa harina. Here is a quick glance at both options, each excellent in their own ways.
Kernel-to-Masa |
Masa Harina |
|---|---|
| This allows you to create exactly the kind of masa you want, using the corn varietal(s) you prefer, in the style that you envision. The Kernel-to-Masa Program is how we started in 2014 and continues to be an exciting option for chefs looking for greater control and creative possibilities. Our team’s collective masa expertise is here to guide you along the way. | If your restaurant doesn’t have the capacity for a Kernel-to-Masa Program, our masa harina makes it easy to offer your customers fresh tortillas made in house. We offer two types of masa harina, Masa Taquera and Heirloom, both made with two ingredients: whole kernel corn and cal. No preservatives or binding agents. |

Which one is best for you?
If you're looking for total control over texture, flavor and style, we recommend the Kernel-to-Masa Program. Our masa harinas — Masa Taquera and Heirloom — are finely ground and best suitable for table tortillas.
If your goal is a recipe tortilla (the kind you fry into tostadas, enchiladas, chips, etc.), we recommend grinding your own nixtamal to control for coarseness, or checking out our best-in-class frozen chips and tostadas below, available for Foodservice via broadliner distributors.
Masa Taquera vs. Heirloom Masa Harina: What’s the difference?
Heirloom Corn Masa Harina
- Corn: Single-origin heirloom corn grown by our farmer-partners in Mexico.
- Texture & Flavor: Fine-ground for pillowy and delicate table tortillas. Corn-forward flavor with tasting note nuances per varietal.
- Color: Available in four different colors: blue, white, yellow and red.
- Best For: A-la-minute table tortillas, taco specials, unique masa shapes, or anywhere flavor and aesthetics are front and center.
Masa Taquera
- Corn: Non-GMO white corn nixtamalized in Mexico. (Though thanks to cal, this masa yields a more yellow tortilla.)
- Texture & Flavor: High-pH, nixtamal-forward flavor reminiscent of a tortillería.
- Performance: High pericarp % (corn skins = whole grain) for extra pliability and durability. Tortillas bend without cracking or crumbling and can be held warm or reheated with ease.
- Best For: High-volume kitchens, service lines, delivery, and catering operations serving up tacos. This is a workhorse masa that holds up beautifully through service.
Frozen Tortillas, Chips & Tostada
Our Foodservice tortillas (non-GMO white & organic yellow), pre-cut chips, and tostadas ship and store frozen (no preservatives here!).
Storing frozen and thawing before use allows you to prepare these high-volume menu items à la minute — tortillas are ready to reheat on the plancha, while chips and tostadas are ready to drop in the fryer, saving you labor hours. Our chips and tostadas are made with a coarser grind and lower moisture to ensure the crunchiest, crispiest texture possible. These are available for Foodservice via broadliner distributors.
To onboard these items, either: Connect us directly with your distributor representative via email at distribution@masienda.com, specifying the products of interest — OR — set up a call with our Hospitality Team to learn more.
